(Linux) Desktop 4.2.2 - Qt5.12.5 - Cannot open /proc/self/exe: Permission denied

David Pirotte
Hello,

        linux - debian bullseye
        downloaded snapshot version
        Desktop 4.2.2 -  Qt5.12.5
        Core 4.4.0-13-gc99cb9c88

I installed linphone on a machine that I use 'as well', then a user
tried and while it works fine for me, he got this error report:

        linphone
        Cannot open /proc/self/exe: Permission denied
Failed to get fs offset for /proc/self/exe

Anyone has an idea/sugestion?

Thanks,
David

The first thing is to check what he sees with
ls -l /proc/sys/exe

"exe  Link to the executable of this process" - from
Documentation/filesystems/proc.rst in the kernel source.
