Re: rdiff-backup converts uppercase to numbers

DW Price
I don't know if debian bug reports are getting sent up to the authors of
rdiff-backup. Here is my bug report. I've spotted a much older one
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=316816) which
attributes the problem to backup up in Linux to VFAT filesystems but I
believe my USB flash keys/cards are probably just FAT.

Vfat does support upper and lower case file names, but it is not case sensitive.
ie: filename.doc == FileName.doc

so rdiff-backup needs to quote uppercase letters in case there are
files on the originating filesystem that are only differentiated by
case ("README" and "readme" in the same directory for example)
